General Audition Information

What to know before you audition:

  • Auditions usually take place at the Portsmouth STEM Academy.

  • There is no fee for any of our auditions.

  • If your child is cast in the show, be prepared for a commitment! Our rehearsal process is immersive and runs anywhere from 6-12 weeks between auditions and showtime. Schedule conflicts should be cleared with the director before accepting a part in the show.

Preparing for an audition is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Prepare a 30-60 second cut from a song in a musical or Disney show/movie. This cut must be sung “a capella” (without background music).

  2. Be ready to read from the script of the show alone and/or with others auditioning.

  3. Have a positive attitude!
